Hundreds of people lined the streets to welcome Father Christmas to Jamestown on Sunday evening.
The Jamestown Apex Christmas Pageant was full of colourful floats including an appearance by famous pandas ‘Wang Wang’ and ‘Funi.’
Clowns, pirates and futsal players took to the streets to show their festive spirit.
Hundreds of lollies were given out to the eager children watching the parade and even Bennie the Goat managed to snaffle a few sweets off the ground.
Organiser Justin Voumard said although numbers were slightly down this year the event was a success.
“There were a few less floats this year but the quality of the floats was high,” he said.
“We were happy with the end result and most importantly Santa made his appearance.” Mr Voumard said although he was busy on the day he had a quick look at the floats and picked the Dukes of Hazzard and Bennie the Goat as top entries.
Mr Voumard said singer John O’Dea was to be thanked for his efforts in keeping the crowd entertained. Santa will be in his Magic Cave in Glasgow House until Christmas Eve for children to visit and share their wishes.
