An opportunity to talk to the Federal Member for Grey, Rowan Ramsey on an informal basis was the aim of a morning tea held in Gladstone recently.
About 40 people attended the event and Mr Ramsey said it was an important time for him to hear of issues local to the Gladstone and surrounding area.
“People expressed their views on a range of national issues and it was good to get the feedback,” he
said.
Some of the issues raised included the regularity of bus services to the area, lack of flexibility in the infrastructure money allocated to schools, availability for trade training to suit local business requirements and funding for local projects.
“Not everyone had an issue to discuss, several attended to just say hello and it was a privilege to meet them and get to know more local people,” Mr Ramsey said.
