No Pokies Senator Nick Xenophon and Member of the House of Assembly Kris Hanna are rallying behind Mr Brock to help him become the next local parliamentarian.

Mr Brock was overwhelmed by the support he had received from other independents and people in the electorate.

“I am proud that Nick believes in me and has shown his support,” he said. Mr Xenophon said Mr Brock had a good chance of winning the by-election. “Geoff has such strong grassroots support and the feedback he is receiving is really good,” he said. He said Mr Brock was an incredible, decent man that could do more than any other candidate, if elected.

“I hope the people of Port Pirie that supported me will help support Geoff,” he said. Mr Brock said he was not interested in selling himself to other political parties and was not restricted by party policies. The pair were at Centro Port Pirie distributing how-to-vote cards and speaking to locals.

Mr Brock said many people talked to him about how they have supported him with one backer asking for a poster to put on her fence.
