Sensei impressed by local skills

20 Nov, 2008 10:35 AM
Weekend seminars, and annual trophy presentations held by Yongala Kyokushin Karate Dojo, recently, were well-attended by the Dojos’ own members and Adelaide Dojo visitors led by Sensei Andy Oxenham.

An honored visitor to Yongala Dojo for the seminars was Australian Kyukoshin Karate Association’s Sensei, Bradley Madam of Queensland, who provided guidance and inspiration as a role model to members, passing on the benefits of his vast knowledge and experience.

Sensei Madam sets an example of how dedication and commitment can lead karate exponents to the very highest levels of the sport.

Sensei Madam said that he was greatly impressed by the skills levels shown by Yongala Dojo members, a sentiment echoed by Adelaide visitor Sensei Oxenham, who also commented on Yongala Dojo’s large membership – larger than Adelaide’s and one of the largest Dojo’s in the State.

Yongala’s Sensei, Shane Atkinson said that the Dojo would always welcome visitors to wished to learn more about karate, and wished to take up the practice of this ancient Japanese martial art.
