The ball certainly won the day in two of the three games played in Rocky River on the weekend, with Laura skittling Crystal Brook for a very ordinary total of 44.

Scott Brand and Koby Nettle took five wickets each in the easy win for the visiting team.

In another outstanding personal performance, Redhill’s Simon Hayes bowled 6 for 34 off his 11 overs, which certainly helped his team get over the line in the match of the day at Georgetown.

With good wins to Wirrabara/Murraytown, Laura and Redhill on the weekend, the Rocky River Cricket Association has thrown a couple of surprises when it comes to the premiership table.
