Carol Bammann, a member of the Melrose Memorial Bowling Club, has been honored by Bowls SA by being granted Life Membership for her

contribution to the sport of lawn bowls.

The president of the Melrose Memorial Bowling Club Club, Ray Walker, said Carol has given

more than 19 years of service both to SAWBA and continued this service when the bodies of

SAWBA and RSABA amalgamated to form Bowls SA.

She held the position of Country Councillor for both organisations, being first elected in 1991 as well as holding the positions of umpire and umpire’s

tutor.

She also filled the position of secretary/treasurer

for the Upper Northern Region 3, from 2005 to 2009.
