Blyth-Snowtown Football Club has freshened up their team in preparation for the coming season.
After having some bad luck last year, the club hopies for a change and aims to make the finals.
Coaches for the season are Brett Ireland (A-grade), Gary Zweck (B-grade), Simon Goldsmith (Under 17) and Daryl Andriske (Under 14).
Ireland was only recently appointed coach and will hopefully lead A-grade to victory.
Club president Kevin Pratt said the club was starting the year fresh.
“This year we have nothing to lose,” he said.
He said they were ready to go.
Mr Pratt said the players had attended some pre-season training with a personal trainer at a course in Adelaide.
“We have recruited fairly well for the season,” he said.
He said the club had about six young blokes moving up from under 17 to the senior grades.
“Our club should be competitive in all grades this year,” he said.
It will also be a year of celebration for the club which turns 21 years old.
“We will definitely be having a party,” Mr Pratt said.
He said they had maintained capital improvements with a new shelter at Blyth Oval and lights at Snowtown Oval.
“We are looking pretty strong and are confident that we can do well this year,” he said.
He said he would love for the club to win a premiership this year.
The club will keep its social calendar active during the coming season.
