Broughton-Mundoora travelled to Melrose to take on the Lions in near perfect conditions on Saturday.
After a very even first term the Eagles broke free and led by 32 points at half-time.
BMW fought back during the third-term and led by one point at the final change.
The last quarter was all Broughton-Mundoora as they steamed away to record an impressive 40 point win.
Best for the Eagles were winger Blake Stringer, Tom Button (four goals) from a forward pocket, ruck rover Mark Horner (four goals), ruckman Daniel Baker and rover Justin Tiller.
Avan Ireland and Josh McCallum each kicked three goals.
Lachie McCallum headed the best player list for BMW with a strong performance at centre half forward.
Kendrick McCallum in the centre, midfielder Simon George (four goals), Shannon Larwood, Matt Foulis (two goals), and Jordan Arthur (two goals) all came under notice. Braden Battersby also kicked two goals.
Southern Flinders 9-17 (71) d Jamestown/Peterborough 4-10 (34)
In the battle of the two undefeated sides the Magpies took on Southern Flinders at the Gladstone oval which was in very good condition.
The Tigers bounced out of the blocks and slammed on six goals to two in an impressive opening term.
The game tightened up from then on with goals becoming very difficult to score with the backlines of both sides in control.
The Tigers clean movement of the ball was probably the difference between the two sides and allowed them to score enough goals to win the match. Mail Medallist Matt Woolford was in
his best form for Southern Flinders along with
back flanker Jeremy Edson who was solid throughout the game.
Midfielder Scott Mazzone, ruckman Daryl Boylan, Rhys Stanbridge and Cody Turner all made the list.
Michael Gaunt and Brogan Whitelaw each kicked two goals.
Best for the Magpies was star recruit Daniel Schuppan who was brilliant across half back along with Arlen Amey.
Daniel Kitschke and Adrian McCarthy rebounded strongly from the full back line and Bernie McInerney worked hard in the midfield.

d Orroroo 10-10 (70)
Crystal Brook were forced to work hard at home to record their first win of the season against a determined Orroroo.
The Roos opened up the game brilliantly and led by six goals to two at quarter time.
The Roosters fought back in the second term to take a two goal lead into half-time.
They maintained that two goal margin at three quarter time and stormed away in the final term to win by 47 points.
Best for the Roosters were midfielders Jack Cousins and Josh Gale (four goals).
Captain Matt Coates, Dan Nicholson and Matt Jackman rebounded strongly across half back. Dan Richardson kicked four goals and Chris Stringer three.
Classy midfielder Will Bennett headed the best player list for Orroroo along with gun recruit Josh Byerlee.
Ruckman Damien Ellery, Liam O’Dea and Matt Anesbury all battled hard.
Justin Duffy and Jon Bowman each kicked three goals and Luke Ellery kicked two.
