Previously undefeated Crystal Brook suffered its first loss when it went down by 33 points to bottom side BMW in the upset of the season.

The Lions led all day in a powerful display of team football which defied its position on the ladder.

Lions were ahead 5-2 to 1-3 at quarter time, 7-3 to 4-7 at half time and 10-9 to 6-9 at three quarter time before running out comfortable winners.

Best for the Lions was once again Kendrick McCallum in the centre.

Damien Smith provided plenty of dash around the ground, Sam Keller, Geordie McCallum in the ruck and Michael Bury.

Jordan Arthur kicked five goals, Andrew Milne four and Cameron McCallum two.

Fifth placed Jamestown-Peterborough scored a hard-fought 10-point win over fourth side Orroroo in the match played at Roo Park on the weekend.

The Pies stormed out of the blocks with an impressive 6-0 to 0-2 first term.

Orroroo were without a number of star players and fought back hard during the final three terms but were not able to reduce the margin below 10 points.

Best for the Magpies was winger Nick McInerney in his best game of the season, Chris Stacey on a half back flank, and Greg Farr on the ball.

Zac Noonan kicked three goals, Bernie Kelly, Shane Heness, Greg Farr and Darren Woolford each kicked two goals.

Southern Flinders 17-18 (120) d Broughton-Mundoora 9-3 (57)

Southern Flinders look to have secured the double chance with an impressive 63-point win over third placed Broughton-Mundoora.

After a reasonably even first half, the Tigers led 5-9 to 4-1 at the long break.

Southern Flinders took control in the second half and rattled on 12 goals to the Eagles five to run away with a very important win.

Best for the Tigers was centreman and Mail Medal favorite Matt Woolford, midfielders Ben Brown, youngster Lucas Chapman, and ruckman Quentin Janz and Daryl Boylan.

John McKenna kicked three goals, while Cameron Edson, Tristan Chapman, Scott Brand and Garry Hull kicked two goals each.
