Two people dead, two airlifted to hospital following Lake View crash

Major Crash are investigating a fatal crash near Lake View in the State’s Mid-North where two people have sadly died.

Just after 12.30am on Thursday June 15, police and emergency crews were called to the Augusta Highway after reports of a Nissan 4WD having rolled.

The driver, a 26-year-old man and a passenger, an 18-year-old woman, both from Western Australia, died at the scene.

Two other occupants, a 20-year-old man and a 24-year-old man who are also both from Western Australia, were airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Efforts are still being made to contact the next of kin in Western Australia.

The Augusta Highway was closed for some time but has since re-opened to all traffic.

The deaths bring the state’s road toll to 38 as compared to 39 for the same time last year.
