Michael Skull notched up 200 games of senior football for the Booleroo Melrose Wilmington Football Club, (BMW) while playing in the B Grade on Saturday,  August 12 at Jamestown.

“Skully” as he is affectionately known as, began playing football as a junior for the Quorn Wolves in the Port Augusta League.

Like many country players he has played football for more than one club and conservatively has played another forty five/fifty games in his football life.

He played some A Grade games for Quorn before venturing off to BMW in 1996, then to Roseworthy in the Adelaide Plains League, some more time back at Quorn before becoming a permanent BMW player.

Long time BMW B Grade coach Marty Keller described Skully as a player who is always prepared to give one hundred percent of full on effort, and a tough team man.

Michael throughout the years has played both A and B grade, he was part of the B Grade teams that won Premierships in 2001, 2007 and 2011, also having an exceptional season in 2011 when he was runner up in the NAFA Best and fairest medal.

Recently he has become involved in the administration of BMW as a committee man and in the last couple of years as one of the three vice presidents of the club.
