Wirrabara Market crowds will be encouraged to campaign against domestic violence

SPEAKER: Liberal Stuart MP Dan van Holst Pellekaan will speak at a stall at the popular Wirrabara Market in support of the campaign against domestic violence.

A local politician and White Ribbon Ambassador will be at a stall at the Wirrabara Market on Sunday.

Liberal Stuart MP Dan van Holst Pellekaan will take to the microphone to spread the message against domestic violence.

He will help to sell tickets in a raffle of prizes worth $400 to benefit the Port Pirie Domestic VIolence Action Group.

Mr van Holst Pellekaan will perform his role from 8.30am to 9.30am at the market, in High Street.

Staff will be available to discuss issues of domestic violence. Market manager Kevin Sizer said various organisations had been represented in the past. “We see it as a community service – another good cause,” he said of hosting the domestic violence awareness activities.
