Diesel Mechanic/Fitter - Mogas Port Augusta

The Role

Mogas seeking professional qualified diesel mechanic or fitter to join our team on a full-time basis, working from our Port Augusta workshop facility. This-full time role offers a Monday to Friday roster, whereby you will contribute to providing a high level of workmanship in the repair and maintenance of the Mogas fleet, ensuring a high standard of quality and safety.

What skills and experience will our ideal candidate have?

• Possess trade qualifications in: Mechanic, Vehicle Mechanic or Fitter/Turner disciplines
• Have experience in disassembly, inspection & assessment, rebuild & testing activities on heavy vehicles 14T GMV and above
• Willing to be trained in specifics of fuel tanker operation (dangerous goods)
• Be a team player and the ability to work with a close knit group
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of current work health and safety and operate in the safest manner
• Car license (minimum requirement)
• Attend medical assessments as required to ascertain your ability to adequately perform all duties as required
• Must have own tools

Applicants with the following licenses will be highly regarded:

• HC/MC and/or dangerous goods will be highly regarded (or a willingness to obtain)
