The Opportunity

Helping Hand is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for enabling older people to live their best lives by demonstrating our core values in everything we do; Compassion, Respect, Excellence and Community.  Join a professional nursing team based at our Jamestown Residential site on a permanent full time basis.

The Registered Nurse, in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse, is responsible for delivering direct and comprehensive nursing care to residents and their families, demonstrating and applying knowledge in all aspects of care. The Registered Nurse applies competent clinical knowledge and skills to achieve quality resident outcomes. This includes providing leadership, coordination and delegation of resident care needs to Enrolled Nurses and Care Workers.

Essential Criteria 

  • Bachelor or Diploma of Nursing 
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum of 18 months work experience as a Registered Nurse (previous experience in the aged care sector will be highly regarded)
  • The ability to work both autonomously and cooperatively
  • Leadership capability
  • Well-developed, assessment and case management skills
  • Current drivers license and a reliable motor vehicle

Please note the following requirements for work in the Aged Care Sector:

  • Current Influenza vaccination 
  • COVID19 vaccination/ both doses + booster
  • Current National Police Clearance
