Fatal plane crash in Far North

Major Crash Investigators have flown to the Far North to assist the Australian Transport Safely Bureau in the investigation into yesterday’s fatal plane crash.

A Cessna 150, not a yyrocopter as police were first advised, crashed at about 1pm on Tuesday, July 12, on New Crown Station about 200 kilometres north-east of Marla.

The pilot, who was the sole occupant, died at the scene.

The man was involved in mustering cattle when the crash occurred.
