JUNIOR footballers are set to be the big winners as a result of the Crystal Brook Football Club securing funding from the state government.
The club received $5000 from the Active Clubs program and plans to use the money for storage and extra equipment.
Member for Frome Geoff Brock presented the funding to the club last week.
The club’s president, Ian Lambert, said they needed adequate storage space to store equipment.
“When you are setting up four ovals you need more equipment,” he said.
Mr Lambert was full of praise for the Active Clubs program saying it helped smaller clubs get their hands on funding.
Last week, Mr Brock also presented funding to other clubs around the state electorate.
The Bute Basketball Club received $3890 and the Mundoora Bowling Club was presented with $4338.
In Port Pirie, the Port Pirie Equestrian Club received $3000 which will assist them in purchasing a storage container to safely store equipment.
