GOLF SEASON LAUNCHED: Port Broughton Golf Club launched its winter season on Sunday.

Port Broughton Golf Club kicked off its winter golf season on Sunday.

The winter golf season, previously a men’s competition, has been opened up to include women as well.

The Sunday competition is 11.30am for a 12pm start.

The course is in great shape and the watered nine is extremely playable with the back nine being dry but having plenty of run.

Casual players can still play on the watered nine as an 18-hole course by using the 18-hole summer card or just play nine holes on the nine-hole card provided.

Green fees are $10 or full membership $160.

Port Broughton Golf Club has also introduced the new “orange short course” .

This was achieved by the club offering an extra course for their players, a forward tee option to vary the golf experience for its junior members and older players that wish to play a shorter course.

It has yet to be rated but is setup to play on the front nine.
