A 44-year-old man from the Yorke Peninsula is set to appear in court on Thursday charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of a controlled drug, after policed seized a large amount of 1,4 Butanediol, commonly known as fantasy.
The accused was arrested on Thursday by detectives, and police will allege that the arrest was a culmination of an on-going operation, which saw 100 litres seized as a result.
The man, who has been charged with two counts of trafficking a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug, remains in custody and is expected to appear in court either late Thursday or on Friday.
The Acting Detective Inspector, Grant Garritty from the Drug and Organised Crime Taskforce said that this was a significant seizure of a very dangerous, controlled drug commonly sold in a liquid form as fantasy.
