A magic show is coming to Peterborough and it is all the more special because Scott Stunz, a member of the of the duo will be making a special return to his home town.

The show, Auslusion, will be in town for one night on Saturday June 23 and the duo hope to take their audience back to the magic of the roaring twenties.

Scott, 28, explains that he and his fellow performer Jason Wonders take the popular tricks of mind reading, illusions and escape and put it together in a show, that follows along a story.

“We want to take them on a journey back to the 1920s and given them that whole experience. It is something that really sets us apart from other acts. When audiences go in there, they get taken away to another world, they come in and are surrounded by this new atmosphere.”

The pair have been performing together for four years and have had highly successful shows at the Adelaide Fringe, Cabaret Fringe and Cabaret Under the Stars and hope that their unique way of putting on a show can please the crowds of Peterborough.

“We tie in a story to all of our shows”, Scott explained.

“So every year we write a show. It is not just me doing a trick, then Jason doing one, we are both working together doing the tricks with a story tied to it.”

“It is quite interactive. When we first started we were like a regular magic show, but as we have grown, we are working together and all of our tricks now are always involving someone from the audience.”

“All the reviews have been pretty positive about it because it is not just a magic show where a magician comes out, does a trick after a trick.”

The Aulusion boys are not coming to Peterborough for no reason, but as Scott explains he grew up in the town and wanted to provide the residents with something joyful for their weekend.

“I grew up in Peterborough and there was never anything to do when I was growing up. As a magician, I wanted to be able to take my show up there because I know how far it is to Pirie where things are.”

The hour long show has two types of tickets that can either be pre-purchased or purchased on the night.
