The Bash car event toasted by Clare

Tim Adams Wines, of the Clare Valley, has contributed almost $2 million to Variety and this year has set a fundraising target of $100,000 for the children’s charity to add to their total.

To achieve their goals, the TABC (Tim Adams Broadcasting Corporation) Variety Bash team held a bingo fundraiser at Madonna Hall, Sevenhill, on July 7.

It included prizes and a silent auction supported by generous Clare Valley businesses.

The TABC team was named the second-highest fundraiser last year, generating $130,000 for needy kids.

This year’s car rally will run from August 11 to 18, starting in Adelaide and travelling to Port Lincoln, through Jamestown and Hawker and across the Eyre Peninsula.

It will be the 30th anniversary of the SA Variety Bash, sharing the same start and finish points as the inaugural route.

Car TABC’s team is Tim Adams and Pam Goldsack, Anna Watson, Brett and Kirsty Schutz and this year’s bash ‘virgins’ Paul Longbottom and Kate Shadiac from the Sevenhill Hotel.

Another local Bash car, Car TOY, and the team of Richard and Emily Elkhoury, Gail and Grantley Schultz, Reinhold and Lynnie Wehrmann and Prash Kuruppu, held a fundraising lunch at Seed on July 14.
