In what is a club and potentially association record, Orroroo Netball Club legend and life member, Julianne O'Dea donned on her netball bib for the 750th time.

“It is an awesome effort to play 750 senior games for the one club,” Northern Areas Netball Association president Mary Hewett said.

“Julianne has been a tireless and long serving player, coach, administrator, umpire and volunteer for her club and association across this time.

“Her longevity and commitment to the game of netball has been simply outstanding.”

O’Dea (nee Chapman) had her sister Simone Fromm return for the day to play alongside her in this landmark match.

“Julianne has tremendous knowledge and the capacity to pass this onto the younger Roos player,” Orroroo president Kate Pearce said.

“As a player she is always consistent and steady, the type to team mate you want in the tight situation.

“She is certainly an icon of our club and this is a club record that may never be beaten.”

O’Dea started her senior playing career with the Roos back in 1972.
