Nathan Black from Caltowie has been chosen alongside several others to represent South Australia at the 2018 Under 18 National Championships.

Nathan, who is currently playing in the SA Super League for the South Eastern Spartans will be representing the state in singles and triples.

The championships will be held at the Capalaba Bolwing Club in Queensland from Wednesday October 3 until Friday October 5.

Nathan is among three players who will make their debut in state colours, including Lucy Tiller from Balaklava and Fergus Rowntree from Ardrossan.

In early 2018, Nathan won the under 18 state singles, received bronze in the under 18 state triples and also had his club win division one.

His reputable bowling comes from his father whose team was down in players one week, he was asked to fill in and has not missed a game since.
