Nathan Black from Caltowie proudly won the Andrew Smith best and fairest award for the SA Super League.
The win is a big achievement for the 14-year-old and he is quite excited to go forward to nationals.
Nathan says he is thankful for his father for being his biggest inspiration and is fortunate to have him also playing bowls alongside him.
His best supporters are his family and he says they were all really proud of him, especially his parents.
“My dad is my biggest inspiration,” Nathan Black says.
“My parents were pretty proud of me.”
Nathan believes that being the youngest competitor in the competition, gave him an advantage over the other players and is what lead him to receive best and fairest.
“I think being the youngest gave me a bigger advantage over the others.”
Nathan is thrilled about his win and says he’ll definitely be competing in the next SA super league.
Nathan played in the finals for the South Eastern Spartans but lost against the Heysen Comets.
