Police have recovered three stolen paintings after a member of the public found them in Port Pirie on Wednesday.

Sometime between 5pm Friday, November 2, and 11.30pm on Saturday, November 3, four paintings were stolen from the railway underpass on Railway Terrace at Crystal Brook.

The artwork, painted by local school children and a local Aboriginal Artist, had been donated by the Crystal Brook Community Association on Friday, November 2.

One painting (pictured) is still outstanding, and police ask if anyone has any information on its whereabouts to contact them.
