Slattery’s honour

CRYSTAL Brook Football Club put the final seal on its fantastic 2018 Northern Areas Football Association season after outgoing coach Luke Slattery was named Senior Country Coach of the Year for the North Adelaide zone.

Slattery, who coached the Roosters A Grade side for the first time this year, said it was an award for the team.

“We had a great coaching panel,” he told The Flinders News.

Slattery, in particular, paid tribute to the work of bench coach Steven Merkel, who takes over the A Grade reins next year, A Grade captain Luke Kapitola, Daniel Hill, Damian Page, Campbell Combe and Nathan Lambert.

We are really happy with how the year panned out.
