Council appoints Dylan Strong

A new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has been appointed for the Orroroo Carrieton Council and will commence in January. 

Dylan Strong was appointed after a lengthy recruitment process that was stalled by local council elections. 

The previous chief executive officer for Regional Development Australia will brings with him a breadth of experience gained through executive and management roles in regional development, state governmetn and private business 

Council’s Chairman, Kathie Bowman says the council is delighted to gain the services of Dylan and look forward to working with him to continue the significant achievements of council over recent years. 

“Dylan demonstrated to the interview panel that he had the necessary experience, the he understood the role and that he was up for the challenge”, Kathie said. 

“We had a good field of candidates for the vacancy which is a positive reflection on the attraction of our council and our community.”

His family is set to relocate to the area in the new year, being no stranger to small communities due to growing up in Coonalpyn. 

His appointment follows the resignation of the former CEO Kristen Clark in September this year.
