Home detention bail sought for murder accused

A 49-year-old Mid North man charged with murder has appeared in the Port Pirie Magistrates Court, making an application for home detention bail.

Peter Adams, appearing in person, was arrested on Sunday, May 26 after police were called to a disturbance at a Peterborough home.

A 46-year-old Onkaparinga Hills man died at the scene.

Appearing on behalf of the accused, Casey Isaacs said police prosecutors were not opposed to a home detention report.

A police prosecutor appearing before court said any other form of bail other than home detention would be opposed.

Magistrate Forrest accepted a nine-month adjournment sought by police prosecutors for February 19, 2020.

The matter for bail will be heard in court on Friday, May 31.
