P-Plater caught speeding near Jamestown

A teenage driver has had his licence suspended after driving at high speeds in Bundaleer North on Thursday, June 20.

Police will allege that at about 3pm a member of the public contacted the Jamestown Police Station to advise there was a vehicle travelling at high speed on RM Williams Way between Spalding and Jamestown.

Officers from Jamestown drove towards Spalding and recorded a silver Ford Falcon sedan travelling at 156km/h in a 100km/h zone.

The driver, an 18-year-old Clare man was stopped by police and issued with a six-month immediate loss of licence notice, fined for exceeding the speed limit and breaching his provisional licence conditions, with the fine totalling $1096.
